Removing Malachite Green and Leucomalachite Green From Freshwater and Seawater With Four Water Treatment Agents

چکیده

Malachite green (MG) residue in aquatic environments can adversely affect food chains. To solve this problem, many adsorbents have been developed to remove MG from aqueous solutions. These exhibit benefits different aspects such as low cost, nontoxicity, and environment friendliness. Zeolite, oyster shell powder (OSP), humic acid (HA), Chloride dioxide (ClO 2) are widely used agents for water purification, indicating their potential both freshwater seawater. Liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry was performed a valid analytical method measuring its metabolite leucomalachite (LMG). The analysis examined linearity, specificity, accuracy, precision, limit of quantification. We found that three agents—zeolite, OSP, HA—have high affinity LMG seawater because physicochemical properties; ClO 2 exhibited even greater efficiency degradation due oxidation capacity. removal zeolite, OSP HA 100%, 87.52%, respectively. In the MG-containing seawater, 95.24%, 6.57%, 89.36%, 53.56%, while 62.70%, 84.65%, treatments expressed 100% efficiency. adsorption capacity decreased order: zeolite = > OSP; seawater: OSP. Whereas LMG-containing study, four treatment reported reducing amount hazardous environments.

Reduction of malachite green to leucomalachite green by intestinal bacteria.

Intestinal microfloras from human, rat, mouse, and monkey fecal samples and 14 pure cultures of anaerobic bacteria representative of those found in the human gastrointestinal tract metabolized the triphenylmethane dye malachite green to leucomalachite green. The reduction of malachite green to the leuco derivative suggests that intestinal microflora could play an important role in the metabolic...

Determination of malachite green and leucomalachite green residues in rainbow trout in Sanandaj City

Background and Aim: Malachite green (MG) is an organic compound which his used as a dye in textile industry. This compound is applied incorrectly and illegally in aquiculture as an antimicrobial agent. This compound has mutagenic and carcinogenic effects. Materials and Methods: In this study we determined the concentrations of MG and leucomalachite green (LMG) in the muscle tissue of 90 rainbow...

Enhanced Sensitive Immunoassay: Noncompetitive Phage Anti-Immune Complex Assay for the Determination of Malachite Green and Leucomalachite Green

To develop a more sensitive immunoassay for malachite green (MG) and leucomalachite green (LMG), we identified the immunocomplex binding phage-borne peptides for use in the noncompetitive phage anti-immunocomplex assay (PHAIA). An anti-LMG monoclonal antibody (mAb) was used to select immunocomplex binding peptides from a circular random eight-amino-acid phage-displayed library. After three roun...

Effects of Malachite Green and Its Major Metabolite, Leucomalachite Green, in Micromass Cultures of Rat Embryonic Cells

Embryonic mesenchyme limb (LB) and midbrain (CNS) cells cultured at high density were exposed to different concentrations of the fungicide malachite green (MG) and its major metabolite leucomalachite green (LMG). The concentration response curves were analysed, and two endpoints were calculated: the concentrations (μg/mL) that produced 50% inhibition of viability/proliferation (IC50-P) and diff...

Malachite green dye, removal from waste water by adsorption

The organic dyes directly pollute the soil, water, plants and all living systems in the environment. In the present investigation, adsorption of brilliant green dye on silica from aqueous solution was studied. The dye adsorption mechanism was studied on the basic surface of silica. The adsorption parameters were optimized to maximum adsorption. The adsorption mechanism of brilliant green on sil...
